2025 Farrowing Plans!
2024 brought our largest litter yet, but also our hardest losses. Here's what we learned and what we're planning for 2025 with 5 breeding pairs on the schedule.
Our 2024 farrowing season is over! Phew! We want to first thank all of our customers, friends, family, and anyone that tuned into our farrowing livestreams on YouTube. Thank you all for your support!
Farrowing in 2024 was a year of ups and downs. We had our most breeding pairs ever (4) and our largest single litter (9), but we also faced a number of difficulties and challenges. We lost some piglets that were stillborn and a couple that failed to thrive. We also had our most devastating loss, the death of Red Raven and her entire litter, due to birthing complications. Every loss and challenge was a lesson and we are looking forward to applying what we have learned to be even more successful with our 2025 plans.
We are currently planning on 5 breeding pairs which you can see below. The plans may change due to varying circumstances, so we encourage you to keep checking back from time to time. Spring litters should arrive throughout April and May. Summer litters are being planned for June and July. Lastly, we will be maintaining our AKKPS Exclusive Breeder status.
