2026 Farrowing Plans!

Farrowing in 2025 was a year of mixed results. We had successful litters from several of our proven sows, but we also faced fertility challenges with Gus that prevented some of our planned pairings from coming to fruition. Every challenge was a lesson and we are looking forward to applying what we have learned to be even more successful with our 2026 plans.

We are taking a different approach this year. We have tried historically proven methods to increase Gus's fertility chances, so we are giving him first opportunity with all four of our sows: Cookie, Pumpkin, Olive, and Mocha. If successful, we're looking at spring litters throughout April and May. However, if Gus's challenges persist, we have backup pairings planned that maintain strong genetic diversity. We will also be maintaining our AKKPS Exclusive Breeder status.
